Microplastics: What They’re Doing to Us

Plastics are all around us. But did you know that plastic food and drink containers and plastics we use in our everyday lives break down into microplastics and nanoplastics (which are the size of a single bacteria!)? These tiny pieces of plastic end up in our food, our drinks, and even our air. This means that we all consume and breathe in plastic every day without ever knowing it (on average, we consume the equivalent of a plastic credit card…every week!). So the question is…as it accumulates in our bodies, what impact does all this plastic have on our health? Join us as we dive into microplastics and nanoplastics - what they are, where they come from, how they affect us, and how to (try to) avoid them…
