The New RSV Vaccine – Why This is Such a Big Deal

Did you know that the battle against RSV, a significant yet often overlooked respiratory virus, has recently seen groundbreaking advancements? Just a few months ago, the first-ever RSV vaccine was approved for individuals aged 60 and over, marking a monumental step in public health. Additionally, a new vaccine now offers protection for the most vulnerable among us – our babies. Ultimately, this will affect each and every one of us.

Despite its severity, RSV remained largely under the radar until the COVID-19 pandemic brought it to the forefront as part of the “tripledemic” of COVID, Flu and RSV.
